The Wild God. An Invitation to Explore the Masculine Spiritual Journey.

This is an invitation to explore the masculine spiritual journey in a 5-Day encounter with the Wild God. Three days of descent through ritual, silence in nature, council, teaching, drumming and fire! At the end of the week, we will have a sweat lodge ceremony to begin a full 24-hour solo immersion into the wild (depending on the weather). You will return for a feast and céilidh (pronounced “Kay-lee,” with drumming, dancing, and mythic storytelling at the fire). The last morning we will celebrate the common good and common blessing that belongs to all of us. We have a natural split if a man is not able to do the full 5-Day immersion. He can come for the first 3 days and still have a deeply meaningful experience!

Target audience: Men aged 25 and above.

Led by: Jim Taylor — weaver & wisdom elder in the Illuman men's community (Illuman.org), where he conducts Men’s Rites of Passage and other events to strengthen the masculine spiritual journey. As a dedicated spiritual guide, wilderness wanderer, and lover of the more-than-human world, Jim engages other men in deepening their capacity for elder wisdom and soul work through immersions into wild landscapes and nature-based retreats. He has been married to Lynda for 36 years and is the father of three adult daughters.
